In the blind eyes of Justice
Fog conceals tears of black onyx.
Carved from a mountain,
Varnished with a human fragility,
A statuette stands as a testament
To the horrors we commit against ourselves.
Constructed from unadulterated dreams.
Lovers separated by a broken bridge;
Their lost life is captured
In frames on a ceramic amphora
Painted in the colours of an ambiguous eternity.
Is the cause lost when the battle is won?
Is hope redeemed when the cause is lost?
Will Justice ever cease to mourn?
